Ruth Trapane is the first artist to use the ancient medium of Encaustics with the subject of Views from Space.
She is also one of the first people to view her own artwork in space. She titled her artwork "From Another Planet" and the project was called Art to the Stars.
She is one of a few artists that use encaustics in such large works. Her largest work is an 8' x 4' two sided screen. A link is provided showing the making of this screen.
